MongoDB License Pricing

Historically, MongoDB was available for free distribution as a certified container. However, due to licensing changes, versions newer than 3.6.8 and 4.0.2 now require an additional agreement for distribution.

When using MongoDB versions 6 and 7 on the AccuWeb.Cloud Application Platform, please note that additional charges will apply. These versions are exclusively available under specific licensing terms. You can easily review the pricing through the topology wizard, both before installation and for existing environments. Once your environment’s topology is configured, you can
select the estimated cost period (hourly, daily, or monthly) and view the price details by hovering over the right-hand side of the wizard.

The MongoDB license cost is determined based on the number of dynamic cloudlets allocated to MongoDB nodes.

For instance, consider a MongoDB replica set with 3 nodes, each allocated 16 cloudlets. The license fee is $15 per month for 8 cloudlets (equivalent to 1 GB of RAM).

Calculation

3 nodes * 16 cloudlets per node = 48 total cloudlets allocated for MongoDB

$15 / 8 cloudlets = $1.875 (license cost per cloudlet)

48 cloudlets * $1.875 = $90 (total license cost per month)

So, the total monthly license cost for this setup would be $90.
