This pricing comparison reflects the estimated monthly charges for equivalent compute configurations hosted on DigitalOcean versus AccuWeb.Cloud.
The DigitalOcean pricing is calculated based on the following parameters:
| vCPU | RAM |
|---|---|
| 1 | 1 GB |
| 1 | 2 GB |
| 2 | 4 GB |
| 1 | 8 GB |
| 2 | 16 GB |
| 4 | 32 GB |
| 8 | 64 GB |
| 16 | 128 GB |
DigitalOcean provides different storage allocations for each droplet type, and not all storage sizes are directly available.
Where an exact storage configuration was unavailable, pricing was proportionally calculated for equivalent storage tiers of 50 GB, 100 GB, 150 GB, 200 GB, 250 GB, 300 GB, 350 GB, and 400 GB to ensure fair comparison.
DigitalOcean offers fixed RAM-to-vCPU combinations for each droplet type. For example, the General Purpose – Premium Intel SSD (1xSSD 8 GiB) plan includes 8 GB RAM and 2 vCPUs, whereas our comparison required 8 GB RAM and 4 vCPUs. In such cases, the closest available configuration (8 GB RAM / 2 vCPU) was used as the reference.
For smaller configurations, proportionate rates were derived using RAM-to-vCPU ratios, such as:
This proportional approach ensures a consistent and fair cost comparison across equivalent resource tiers.
