How AccuWeb.Cloud calculates resources?

AccuWeb.Cloud uses a flexible resource unit called a Cloudlet to calculate cloud resources.

What is a Cloudlet?

A cloudlet functions as a metric for compute power and RAM. One cloudlet corresponds to 128MiB of RAM and 200MHz of CPU.

For example, if your instance necessitates 640 MiB of RAM and 1000 Mhz of CPU power (equivalent to 5 Cloudlets), 5 Cloudlets will be allocated to your instance.

Additional computing capacity is introduced by increasing the number of cloudlets. When the surplus computing power is no longer required, these cloudlets are removed from your instance.

How Usage is Measured

AccuWeb.Cloud uses dynamic resource scaling, meaning your application doesn’t pay for fixed resources – it pays for what it actually uses. Here’s how it works:

1. Real-Time Monitoring

Your container’s RAM and CPU usage are monitored continuously.

2. Scaling Up and Down

If your app demands more resources, the platform automatically allocates additional Cloudlets.

When demand drops, unused Cloudlets are released, keeping your costs optimized.

3. Billing Granularity

Cloudlets are billed in two types:

  • Reserved Cloudlets :
    These are pre-allocated, always available.
  • Dynamic Cloudlets:
These scales are on demand based on real-time usage. You only pay for what you consume.

What happens once the Trial Period Ends?

As your 30-day trial approaches its end:

  • You’ll receive a notification prompting you to upgrade your account.
  • If not upgraded, your environments will be suspended once the trial expires.
