How to Bind Domain to Environment?

Bind Custom Domain with your AccuWeb.Cloud Environment

Managing multiple websites can get confusing, especially when it comes to remembering their IP addresses. Domain binding simplifies this process by allowing you to connect your chosen custom domain name to your website.

When operating without public IP addresses attached to your environment (i.e., when the DNS record points to the environment name via CNAME or ANAME), it’s essential to bind the appropriate domain name to access your environment. This step ensures that Shared Load Balancers correctly route traffic to the target environment.

Note: Custom domain binding via the platform dashboard is unnecessary if public IP is enabled for the environment, as incoming traffic bypasses Shared Load Balancers (SLBs).

1. Within the platform dashboard, click on the Settings button for the environment to which you need to bind a domain name.

2. In the Custom Domains menu tab, find the Domain Binding section, which should be automatically selected. Enter your registered domain name (e.g., www.myexternaldomain.com or myexternaldomain.com) and click the corresponding button to bind it.

Note: It may take up to several minutes for the new URL settings to take effect.

Great! Your environment is now accessible under its unique domain name.
