How to Setup a WordPress Staging Environment in Accuweb.Cloud?
A staging environment is recommended to avoid downtime or errors on a production website. A WordPress staging environment is a test environment that you can use to perform plugin updates, theme updates, or any other custom changes.
This guide will provide step-by-step guidelines to create a staging environment for a WordPress website hosted on our AccuWeb.Cloud platform.
Steps to Create a Staging Site on AccuWeb.Cloud
Creating a staging environment requires you to log in to your AccuWeb.Cloud control panel. Following is the step-by-step procedure for a staging environment for your WordPress website:
Step 1. Login to your AccuWeb.Cloud control panel using the following URL:
Step 2. Locate the WordPress environment in which you would like to create a staging environment.
Step 3. Move your mouse over your environment name and click on the “Clone” option, as shown in the following image:
Step 4. Enter your staging environment name in a popup window and click the “Clone” button.
Step 5. Depending on your data size, creating a clone environment may take a couple of minutes.
Step 6. Once the clone environment is created, your dashboard will be refreshed, and you will see a staging/clone environment using the name entered in Step [4].
Step 7. You will receive the login information for your staging environment at your email address.
Once your staging environment is set up, you can configure your production and staging environments to manage via Git. It will allow you to push/pull changes from your Git repository.
