LiteSpeed Web ADC<\/h2>\n
The LiteSpeed Web ADC stack comes equipped with built-in HTTP\/3<\/strong> support, which is enabled by default. However, to leverage this feature and interact directly with the server over HTTP\/3<\/a>, a public IP<\/a> address is necessary to bypass the Shared Load Balancer.<\/div>\n

The LiteSpeed Web ADC<\/a> (Application Delivery Controller) is a powerful solution for HTTP load balancing. It goes beyond just distributing traffic; it enhances the speed and reliability of backend services.<\/p>\n

These benefits are made possible by implementing and supporting cutting-edge technologies, including the next-generation HTTP\/3 (QUIC) transport protocol.<\/p>\n

LiteSpeed Web ADC is well-suited for projects of any scale, capable of handling both everyday traffic and seasonal spikes with ease. With its array of features<\/a>, this balancer will optimize your application’s performance to its fullest potential.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> LiteSpeed Web Server<\/a> is commercial software and cannot be distributed freely. Therefore, it requires a license to be applied to the platform. If you choose to work with this application server, please be aware that you will be charged an additional fee<\/a> for the usage of the license mentioned above.<\/div>\n

Set up your own LiteSpeed Web ADC load balancer server on the platform by following the steps below.<\/p>\n

Step 1.<\/strong> Sign in and click the “New Environment”<\/strong> button located at the top of the dashboard.<\/p>\n

Step 2.<\/strong>\u00a0Configure your preferred topology using the opened wizard and select LiteSpeed Web ADC<\/strong> as your load balancer.<\/p>\n

Click Create<\/strong> to proceed.<\/p>\n

Tip:<\/strong> Customize your LiteSpeed ADC by adjusting specific environment variables.-to attach the link to our environment variable article here<\/a>– `JELASTIC_AUTOCONFIG`<\/strong>: Enables (enabled by default) or disables autoconfiguration of LiteSpeed worker processes count based on allocated RAM and number of CPU cores.
\n– `DEFAULT_CLUSTER`<\/strong>: Selects the load balancing type for requests’ proxying (HTTP, AJP, FCGI, LSAPI). If working with custom backends, this logic can be disabled (0, disabled, false).
\n– `WP_PROTECT`<\/strong>: Configures an action for the WordPress Brute Force Attack Protection<\/a> feature (off, on, drop, deny, throttle, captcha; off by default).

Step 3.<\/strong> Clicking the “Open in Browser”<\/strong> button for the LiteSpeed balancer will automatically access one of the backend application servers.<\/p>\n

Step 4<\/strong>. To manage your load balancer, access its Admin Panel<\/strong> by clicking the appropriate button in the “Additionally<\/strong>” list next to the layer. Access credentials are sent via email after the node creation.<\/p>\n

Note<\/strong>: When working with the platform implementation of LiteSpeed via the admin panel, keep the following specifics in mind:- Ensure container stability by using the platform-native redeploy<\/a> feature instead of the Actions > Version Manager<\/strong> functionality.<\/p>\n

– For LiteSpeed ADC version management, ignore notifications about license key expiration in the Actions > Server Log Viewer<\/strong>, as leasing is automatically managed by the platform.<\/p>\n

If you need to adjust any configuration files, you can do so through the dashboard file manager<\/a> or by establishing an SSH connection<\/a>.<\/p>\n

License Pricing<\/h2>\n

The platform seamlessly integrates the cost of the LiteSpeed license by fair pay-as-you-go<\/strong> principles. Specifically, the license is billed only for active containers on an hourly basis, up to 730 hours per month. Additionally, license lifecycle management is fully automated.<\/p>\n
