If you want to keep any recent data, download it via FTP before restoring the backup.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"ack-h2\">Restore an Elastic VPS backup with the Tar command<\/h2>\n<p>The tar command is used to compress files and folders in Linux. It turns multiple files or directories into a single compressed file. You can use it to decompress the archive, list all files in it, and add files to it.
